Peaches, Your Lovely Bones & Registration opens today for Restorative Retreat

This morning I’m writing from our red couch with my feet in a sunbeam, soaking up the warmth. It’s fall alrighty! Porch weather is not over yet, but I’m craving cozy this morning.

We had a wonderful trip to Crestone – and now we’re happy to be home, batteries fully recharged after our retreat, and ready to welcome fall and delve into our teaching schedule. So much good stuff!

Tonight, Carl will be teaching lessons on Lengthening Your Hamstrings (without stretching) – wonderful movement lessons that highlight the intelligence of the”work smarter not harder” approach we take in Feldenkrais lessons. Details below…

This Saturday, we’re teaching on a favorite topic – your lovely bones – at our Skeletal Awareness and Dexterity workshop. We still have spaces available and we’d love to see you there. You can read a lot more about what we’ll be exploring during the workshop by scrolling down. And now that it’s October and Halloween is upon us – you’ll be seeing skeletons around town. Each time you see a skeleton, you might try sensing your own skeleton – and the unconditional and effortless support it provides in gravity. If you join me in this playful experiment, I’d love to hear what you discover!

Today I’m opening registration for my annual Restorative Retreat on Dec. 8-9 at Snowbird. Previous attendants got early dibs, and there are just a handfull of spaces left.

If you’d like to attend (Saturday, Sunday or both) – please email me and I’ll send you the link to register right away. There are too few spaces left for me to include an open registration link in this email. I’d love to have you – and I’m super excited about what I’m offering this year. You can read a lot more about it below. Reply to this email if one of the spots has your name on it.

And mark your calendar for our last Feldy immersion of 2012 – Oct. 27-28 on the wonderful theme of Embodied Essentials: Ground, Center and Breath. We can’t wait!

Yesterday Mesa and I had such fun picking peaches from our funky old peach tree. I love sharing all that fuzzy, juicy, beautiful sweetness with my boy.

May you take time today to let the little pleasures of the season touch you….

I’m revisiting a quote from John Kabat-Zinn:

“The little things?
The little moments?
They aren’t little.”

Indeed.

We'd love it if you'd consider sharing with your networks.

My work is about sharing potent practices to not only heal and befriend the body, but to enter into a radically new, non-dual, and liberating relationship with embodiment. My work is about listening to life through the ever more finely tuned instrument of the living body, and supporting my clients and students to do the same.

I believe embodied learning, decolonizing our bodies, and returning to our intelligent, organic wholeness is intimately connected with the healing of our world.
